◆ Data & accuracy

Where the numbers come from.

Every figure on this site traces to a named source. This page lists each one — where it comes from, and what the labels mean when something isn't on record.

◆ The short version

ballsyluck is an independent archive — not a lottery, and not affiliated with one. Every number shown here comes from a named source; the main ones are listed below, and we keep them as up to date as we can. Where a figure isn't on record, the site labels the estimate or leaves the space empty; nothing is made up to fill a gap.

◆ Sources, dataset by dataset
Draw results

Official lottery sites — powerball.com and megamillions.com.

Jackpots & next draw

The advertised jackpot and cash option, as published by the lotteries.

The figure can briefly trail an official update — draw pages show it as it was recorded.

Prize payouts & winner counts

Officially published tier results for each draw.

Where official counts aren't on record, the tier table shows clearly labeled estimates — see below.

Winner stories

Powerball's official winner gallery on powerball.com; every story links to the original.

Powerball only — Mega Millions winners aren't covered.

Game rules & odds

The official game rules for each lottery.

◆ What ESTIMATED means

Single-draw pages show winner counts for every prize tier. For draws where official counts aren't on record, the table is filled with estimates instead — marked ESTIMATED right on the page, with a note saying exactly that. Only winner counts are ever estimated. Winning numbers, jackpots, and sales never are: they're shown when on record and omitted when not.

◆ When the feed is down

When the live draw feed is unreachable, the history and archive pages say so — a LIVE RESULTS UNAVAILABLE notice replaces the tables, and number checking pauses until real draws are back. Your numbers are never checked against sample or placeholder data.

◆ Always check the official source

This site is a record, not a referee. Before acting on a ticket, verify the winning numbers with the official lottery: powerball.com or megamillions.com.
